They have the biggest gluten free menu I have ever seen in my 3.5 years being gluten free! It is so hard to find places with Asian gluten free option. It was amazing choosing from such a big variety of foods for once. Even gluten free spring rolls! They were delicious. So was my main entree. I ate everything since it was so delicious. Severs are very friendly and its a nice atmosphere at the restaurant with nice decor. Really a great place!
Great cuisine.
Amazing extensive gluten free menu and delicious food. Rare to find GF Asian food that you are happy eating. Portions are huge and great value. Homely restaurant, definite must for visitors and locals.
Stopped in for a quick bite. Had the spicy tuna roll. All around ok. I wouldn't tell anyone not to go here but my 1 experience was not extraordinary.
Horrible place. My friend and I asked to sit up stairs and the hostess said no. She didn’t provide a reason, just “no.” As we were getting seated, I asked the man seating us if there was any extra seating upstairs. He tried to ignore me. As he was walking away he turned his head and said “She already said no” very coldly. Do not go here. Really nasty service.
Delicious food and great staff. The owners are very welcoming and kind. One of my favorite restaurants north of 57TH street.
Very good food. Best gluten free options
Hands down one of my favorite meals EVER (like, ever ever). I lived within Lilli and Loo’s delivery radius on the UES and have since moved away, but whenever I go back to NYC, it’s on the top of my to-do list. The black pepper tuna sushi roll (actually, all their sushi!) is amazing, and their gluten free Chinese food is out. Of. This. World.Lots of vegetarian options, too, and their WHOLE CHINESE FOOD MENU can be made gluten free. Some favorites include pan fried pork dumplings, chicken and broccoli, General Tso’s chicken, moo shu pork, and basically any of their appetizers. It’s small but they have about 10 tables, beer/wine/cocktail, delicious Thai iced coffee, an event space upstairs, and it’s really just so damn good. Stop at Baked By Melissa or Sprinkles Cupcakes for gluten free desserts afterwards!
the service was ok. I went with a few coworkers. one of my coworkers ordered a drink but had to re ask for their drink after getting their food as the waitress forgot. I asked for general tso's tofu, extra spicy. . . but there was no spice. the hot and sour soup was amazing, however my tofu was over cooked which lead it to replicate the same texture as chewy foam. the restaurant itself was really clean and pretty. . . I just seemed like the waitress was extremely distracted.
I have been to LILLI & LOO so many times I lost count the food is the best Chinese food ever!! It’s tasty not greasy and the staff is excellent they will make you anything you want & any way you want it. We go a few times a week!! They keep it clean & always seems busy I do not go anywhere else for Chinese food but here it’s a MUST try you will love it as much as my family does!!! #1 on my list. Thank you LILLI &LOO!!!
Very good gluten free General Tsos. The Singapore noodles were also really good. It is so nice to have so many gluten free options at a Chinese restaurant. That is rare. The tempura shrimp appetizer was the least good. Not very crisp tempura and I wasn't a big fan of the sauce (a mayonnaise based sauce) but it was a generous portion. Service was nice, expedient.
Food was delicious and service was fast and friendly!
They have gluten free options! and it all tastes very good!
I haven't ate American Chinese food for at least 15 years. This restaurant helped me experience my childhood growing up eating Chinese food on the weekends. I love this service and it's a very beautiful looking restaurant.
Tofu spinach soup was boiled spinach with fresh tofu and salt for $7.50. Edamame were uncooked, the lemongrass limeade was Sprite with some lime in it, watered down. And the sizzling tofu came warmish, not hot, with uncooked broccoli, 1 mushroom, and very oily. It separated on my plate! We never even got water, and we waited for the server to come back, and she did not come back for the entire meal to check on us. And there is no soundproofing in the restaurant so you can hear everyone's conversation very clearly. There's absolutely no privacy. Not impressed AT ALL.
Pad Thai was delicious and so was the lettuce wrap. Not 100 percent sold on the cross contamination but they do Cooke with gluten. Other than that nice service and good food
The place serves big dishes and for reasonable rates. super nice employees. Keep it up.
Outstanding gluten free menu with 4 pages to choose from. Attentive staff and fast service.
Ordered sashimi, and they forgot to give me wasabi or ginger. When asked for it, they only gave wasabi. I think they need to be told exactly what you want from them.
Mediocre sushi, powdered miso soup out of a bag, ASTONISHINGLY bad bubble tea, pretty good spring rolls. Friends liked it though
So we used to live in NYC.We moved to Denver CO 4 years ago. While we LOVE living in Denver it is nearly impossible to find good gluten free Chinese food.Whenever we come to the city with the family I take my daughter here. Today we traveled 1500 miles and all she wanted was LILY'S. Her favorite is the pan fried dumplings and the general Tso chicken. The following is a review written by my 9 year old daughter Vivienne, "Lily's was incredible and the service was amazing and most of all the gluten free food was like heaven on a plate 😍👍👍👍."
Good food, but the service was horrible. Very slow service - had to ask multiple times for food, took 45 minutes for some plates to come out. We had a large party reserved so they knew we were coming.
They sat me upstairs although there were plenty of seats available downstairs, I'm pretty sure race was involved...
Great lunch every time I stop in!! Prices are high though.
Great tasting food. Clean restaurant. Got our order pretty fast. Staff was good about refills.
Slooooow service and okay Asian food. Had the bento box for lunch and a soup. Just meh!
Excellent food and the gluten free options are second to none. We were very happy
It wouldn’t kill you guys to put some air conditioning on.
Finally a decent Chinese restaurant! NYC has tons of places yet I couldn't seem to find one I liked. Places I grew up with on Long Island were SO GOOD and I could not find a place in the city to match that quality I was used to.But Lilli and Loo did it. Have ordered from here a couple of times and am always very satisfied. Why 4 stars instead of 5? Because I've still had Chinese food that's been better than this. But no qualms with this place. Definitely give it a go.Prices are reasonable.
Good food, fast service, reasonable lunch specials- can get into and out of here for lunch in less than am hour and for less than $20
We like a lot to go out. Last night we came to this delicious place which friends recommended to us. We enjoyed a delightful experience there with superb cooking and an experienced crew and an impressive cuisine. We put this venue in our phone list and we will definitely return very soon. We warmly recommend.
I go to this great restaurant many times a year! This is the best place to eat. I go to this spot at least once a month. The meals are fantastic, the crew is welcoming and the price is fair. I enjoy going in this restaurant for a tasty dinner.
Average Asian food, masked in a big “fancyish” real estate local, with a not welcoming nor nice host at the entrance’s counter. Good gluten free options.
Very authentic food and good service
Had that tom yum, satay, and curry, which were all fantastic. We didn't care for the coconut based soup but they were gracious about it. Excellent choice for gluten free Thai.
Way too expensive for the quality of food served. I’ve gone twice now just to give it another chance but I again regret eating here. It’s almost inedible and we always barely touch our food.
Love the gluten free menu. One of my kids has a gluten allergy and this one of his favorite spots
Had a very good experience in this spot with my kids. The food arrives rapidly and the service is just great. Prices are affordable.
Honestly it may be due to covid19 and that they are serving leftovers but I just got food from there today and it was awful ! I had to throw it out . So disappointed and a waste of 30$ . The only thing that was good was the thai iced tea . DO NOT RECOMMEND
Food is good, never greasy. You can really get any kind of Asian you want. Portions are the right size.
Visited with some friends and had a great time. The servers were nice and the place looked neat and clean. The lunch specials menu was to the point. The place is quite small, so not the ideal place for big groups. Overall, it was generally nice. The Teriyaki chicken bento was alright.
OMG yum! This was some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. Gluten free Chinese food is so hard to find - especially general tso chicken! This meal was perfectly mouth-watering 🤤. The flavor and crispiness was 💯. I'm still thinking about it weeks later!
We eat a a lot of asian restaurant in montreal and we were happily surprise by this one.The food was very good, ambiance was great and people were really nice! We loved it!
